BRITISH COLUMBIA WINE AUTHORITY (BCWA) EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES

                          BRITISH COLUMBIA WINE AUTHORITY (BCWA)

WINE TASTE TEST ASSESSORS

The British Columbia Wine Authority (BCWA) is currently recruiting eight qualified people to join our team of highly trained BC VQA Taste Test Assessors.  This position is a paid, scheduled, position, one to three days a month.  All candidates must have their WSET Level Three or an equivalent wine education.  Candidates must not currently be involved in or benefit financially from a winery or grape growing.  All candidates will be required to take the BCWA fault sensory training course.

The British Columbia Wine Authority (BCWA) is the non-profit society to whom the Provincial Government delegated the responsibility to implement the “Wines of Marked Quality Regulation”.  BCWA is the Regulatory Body that implements the system of wine standards and authorizes wineries to use certain prescribed terms on wine labels, such as “BC VQA” and “Okanagan Valley” that assure the consumer that the wine is made from 100% British Columbia grown grapes and that the wine is free of specific faults.
